Die neue Single „Everything I Built“ von Figure Beach verbreitet Gelassenheit und gute Laune und hält so dem trüben Herbstwetter entgegen. Und auch eine tiefsinnige Message hat die Indie Band in ihren Zeilen versteckt, denn die Moral von "Everything I Built" könnte sein, dass es nie zu spät ist, sich etwas aufzubauen. Man kennt wohl den Gedanken, dass man sich zu alt fühlt, um mit einer gewissen Sache anzufangen, das hätte einfach schon in jüngeren Jahren passieren müssen und jetzt lohne sich das nicht mehr. „Aber in der Regel ist das doch Quatsch“, sagen die vier Nürnberger. „Es ist nie zu spät für etwas, solange man am Leben ist und einigermaßen vital. Unser biologisches Alter ist nur eine Zahl, die einen doch viel zu oft von etwas abhält, was man tun möchte und auch sollte. Lernt ein Instrument, geht auf Reisen, baut ein Haus, findet eure Seelenverwandten!“
